Erfan Ahmed is an undergraduate rising Sophomore at George Mason University in Computer Science. Erfan Ahmed has experience with tutoring children in various subjects with expertise in Elementary School to Tenth Grade Math and Elementary to Tenth Grade English(Reading and Writing). Erfan also has fluency in four languages.

Shing-Wai Koo is an elementary school teacher and robotics coach. She graduated from George Mason University in 2017 and has enjoyed building relationships with students aged 6-18 in the classroom or on the robotics field. Shing-Wai enjoys helping students understand the wonders of science and math, and she works to transfer her love of reading and writing to every student she works with. She looks forward to helping learners of all ages find success in these subject areas.

Jason is a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School for Science & Technology and the College of William and Mary with a B.S. in psychology and a minor in philosophy. He also completed the pre-med curriculum, giving him a strong foundation both in hard sciences and social sciences, as well as critical thinking and analytical writing. Jason began his tutoring experience while at William & Mary, where he was recruited by faculty recommendation to tutor student-athletes. He has also taught SAT classes for Kaplan as well as privately tutored many students in standardized test prep and a variety of subjects including chemistry, physics, math from algebra to calculus, and English. Jason is consistently recognized by teachers, professors, and employers for his writing ability, and specializes in helping students improve their writing.

Melissa, a passionate and skilled educator, has a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education from Towson University. With 5 years of teaching experience, she is equipped with the skills and strategies to successfully teach early childhood reading, writing, phonological awareness (phonics), science and social studies. Melissa is passionate about creating positive learning environments and building on from students’ knowledge and experiences. Master of Science in Refining, Engineering, and Gas, Oswaldo Hernández Marquez blends STEM expertise with bilingual instruction, using data-driven strategies to simplify complex math and science concepts. His interactive, real-world approach helps students build confidence, master problem-solving, and excel academically in both English and Spanish.

Kennedy is an undergraduate senior at George Mason University pursuing a B.S. in Environmental Science with a Concentration in Ecological Science, and minors in Conservation and Food Systems. With years of experience being a natural leader and mentor, she is passionate about education and the different teaching styles. Kennedy specializes in math and science subjects, as well as English comprehension and writing.

Marie Bennett is a December ’22 graduate of George Mason University’s Honors College. She earned a Neuroscience, B.S. with a minor in Chemistry. Marie specializes in math and science, but has also had experience mentoring college students in topics from music to visual arts. She has been a private tutor for high school Trigonometry and finished her last semester with being a Learning Assistant for a General Genetics university course. With this experience, Marie has learned that she loves helping students from all backgrounds to learn how to effectively learn.

Thomas “TA” Ammazzalorso is a veteran educator with 25 years of experience teaching high school students, tutoring middle school students, and mentoring college undergraduates. He holds an M.Ed. in Education Leadership and an MA in Global Commerce & Policy from George Mason University, as well as an MST in Adolescent Education from Pace University. His undergraduate studies were completed at Ramapo College of New Jersey, where he earned a BA in International Business.

Known for his engaging personality, Thomas combines his roles as a teacher, mentor, and humorist to connect with both at-risk students and IB/AP learners. His ultimate goal is to dedicate 50 years to teaching in the classroom.

UPenn graduate Arina Paniukhina raised her own SAT score by 200+ points through self-designed study methods. She adapts complex concepts into relatable, real-world examples by drawing on her diverse teaching background - from preschool to university level.
