Teaching Philosophy
"I am a passionate advocate for student-centered learning. When a student struggles with a specific concept, I work backwards to identify exactly where the misconceptions began, so we can build a stronger foundation from that point. I prioritize designing lessons that foster curiosity and independence while ensuring every child feels supported. By using data-driven practices and total participation techniques, I am committed to helping every student achieve their highest potential".

Active Classroom Teacher & Tutor: Currently teaches 4th grade at Rosa Parks Elementary School and actively provides before-school tutoring for 3rd and 4th graders. She integrates technology tools to enhance learning and collaborates directly with the SPED team to develop appropriate goals and accommodations.
Interactive & Kinesthetic Strategies: Moves beyond standard worksheets by incorporating total participation techniques like white board hold-ups, chalk talks, and think-pair-shares to ensure students are actively engaged and moving during sessions.
