Teaching Philosophy:
"When a student struggles with a concept, It's usually because what they previously understood about the class doesn't coincide with what they're currently being taught. The best way I've learned to approach working with a student who is struggling with a concepts is to gauge their understanding of concepts preceding the concept they need help with and, from there, build a base that will eventually build up to where they need to be. It helps to affirm their competency in the subject by getting them to acknowledge how much they already know and that it's just a matter of bridging the gap between that and the concept they need help understanding."
