Leon Young

Leon Young holds a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Psychology from George Mason University Graduating Cum Laude. While completing his degree Leon was a Special Education assistant teacher for Arlington County Public Schools for 4 years. His passion for Psychology helped him thrive in the classroom which led to student success in multiple subjects. While personal excellence has been achieved he finds most joy in helping other students reach their full potential.

While working as a Special Education Assistant, Leon was responsible for working in the classroom and one-on-one with students. During this one on one time Leon found true value in a smaller educational setting for some students. Encouraging students who struggled to ask for personal assistance led to those students performing better in the classroom no matter the subject. While math is his strong suit, working in so many settings has allowed him to be a well-rounded educator in other subjects such as reading and writing.

As an educator, Leon brings the energy and creates a special learning environment that captures the students attention and allows them to learn in a way that best suits them. While not being the strongest student as a child, Leon was able to find a way that helped him learn and now he hopes to pass that knowledge on to the next student. From personal experience and learned tricks of the trade, Leon strides to extend a helping hand to every student he gets to meet.
