Teaching Philosophy

"I believe in leading with relatability. I often share stories of my own academic struggles to show students they aren't alone and that overcoming challenges is how we build resilience. My strategy is to identify exactly which 'building blocks' a student understands and which they find difficult. By mastering these smaller steps first, students gain the confidence needed to reach larger goals. I prioritize the student's emotional well-being, encouraging breaks to regulate frustration and always celebrating 'wins' when we reach a new understanding”.

  • Dedicated Youth Mentor: Brings extensive experience working with children ages 3 to 13. As a Summer Camp Counselor and Student Leader, she supervised activities, guided educational programs, and built trusting relationships to help children develop confidence and social skills.

  • Focus on Emotional Regulation: She prioritizes her students' emotional well-being, utilizing break times to regulate frustration and explicitly teaching resilience through relatable personal stories. She also has experience adapting discipline strategies and maintaining proactive communication with parents regarding behavioral concerns.
