Marjorie M. McMahon is an Alexandria, VA resident and an active elementary school teacher with a rich background in both classroom and museum education. Holding a Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.) in Museum Education and a B.A. in Fine Arts from The George Washington University, Marjorie offers a highly creative and structured approach to learning. Extensive Museum Education Background: Brings a unique, highly creative perspective to education, having developed K-12 lesson plans, family festivals, and public programs for prestigious institutions like the National Gallery of Art, the National Air & Space Museum, and the Mercer Museum.
Program & Curriculum Director: Managed a school-based outreach program for underserved communities at Catholic Social Services, where she successfully launched comprehensive STEAM programming. She also served as Executive Director for the Philadelphia Area Disc Alliance, initiating an elementary school outreach curriculum focused on health, wellness, and conflict resolution.
